Statement
1. General description
The CEMO.ch SA website (cemo.ch) enables users to learn about laser eye surgery treatments, book a free diagnostic examination and access the services of our clinics in Lausanne, Mendrisio, Yverdon and Geneva.
2. Applicable regulations
We are committed to making our website accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. The website has been designed with the following regulations and standards in mind:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines by the W3C
- DDA — Federal Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against People with Disabilities (SR 151.3)
- eCH-0059 — Swiss standard for web content accessibility
3. Compliance status
Based on an internal self-assessment, the website is partially compliant with accessibility guidelines. The following aspects are implemented:
- Semantic HTML structure with hierarchical headings (h1, h2, h3)
aria-labelattributes on interactive buttons- Text/background contrast above the 4.5:1 ratio
- Keyboard navigation for the main interactive elements
- Scalable text without loss of functionality
- "Skip to main content" link
4. Known limitations
The following points are not yet fully compliant:
- Some placeholder images do not have descriptive alternative text
- The booking form may not be fully navigable via screen reader
- Testimonial videos (when present) may not have subtitles
- The ElevenLabs voice assistant is not keyboard accessible
- Some interactive elements of the cookie consent banner may not be correctly announced by screen readers
5. Accessibility tool
The website offers an integrated accessibility tool that allows you to adapt the display to your needs. The tool is accessible via the "Accessibility" button (♿ icon) in the lower left corner of each page, or alternatively via the keyboard shortcut Alt + A.

- Text size increase and decrease
- High contrast mode
- Link highlighting
- Enlarged cursor
- Increased text spacing
6. Planned measures
We are planning the following measures to improve accessibility:
- Adding alternative text to all images
- Full keyboard navigability verification
- Subtitles for video content
- Accessibility audit with automated tools (Lighthouse, axe)
- Full compatibility with NVDA and VoiceOver
